So far, so good for wireless data in 2004

By the end of the second quarter of 2004, wireless data users totaled almost 47 million (or more than one-quarter of the total wireless subscriber base), up more than 58% from 29 million in mid-2003. Wireless data revenue in the second quarter of 2004 approached $1 billion, up 160% from roughly $367 million for the second quarter of 2003. By year-end 2004, we anticipate almost one-third of wireless users will be using wireless data and annual revenue will top $4 billion.
