Digital Camera Makers Changing The Landscape Of Photography:

"This year, digital cameras will outsell film cameras for the first time in the U.S. Digital cameras will reach that milestone worldwide in 2004, Slaughter says.
Lower prices, better quality products and a clear understanding of the benefits of digital photography are driving sales.
The digital photography market is much more complex than the film photography business. Consumers have more choices with digital photos. They can store their photos on computers, burn them onto CDs and DVDs, e-mail them, post them on personal Web pages and display them on TVs and handheld computers. If they want prints, they can use home photo printers, online printing services or go to a retail store."
